Different types of diesel generator sets have corresponding standard fuel tanks and fuel supply systems. There are many types of fuel tank designs, and users can design them into discrete fuel tanks of various capacities according to their requirements. Users can also design their own fuel tanks. When installing diesel generator fuel tanks, users should pay attention to the following precautions:
1. After placing the fuel tank, the high oil level should not be higher than 2.5 meters above the tiger seat of the purple oil generator set. If the oil level in a large oil tank is higher than 2.5 meters, a daily fuel tank should be added between the high oil rate and the generator set to ensure that the pressure of direct fuel delivery does not exceed 2.5 meters. Even during the shutdown period of the diesel generator set, fuel is not allowed to flow into the diesel generator set through the inlet or injection pipelines by gravity.
2. The resistance at the oil outlet shall not exceed the specified value when using a clean filter element as stated on the performance data sheet of all diesel generator sets. This resistance value is based on half of the fuel tank being filled with fuel.
3. The position of the fuel supply pipe end of the fuel tank should be about 50MM higher than the bottom of the diesel generator tank to prevent sediment and water from being sucked into the fuel supply pipe.
4. The connection of the fuel return pipeline should not cause shock waves in the fuel pipes of the diesel generator set.
5. The fuel capacity inside the fuel tank should ensure daily supply.
6. The fuel supply and return areas of the fuel tank should be equipped with perforated partitions to reduce heat exchange in the diesel generator set
7. The storage location of the fuel tank must be safe to prevent fires. The fuel tank or tank should be placed separately in a visible place, appropriately far away from the diesel generator set, and smoking is strictly prohibited;
8. If the fuel tank is made by the user themselves, it should be made of stainless steel or steel plate. Do not spray paint or zinc inside the fuel tank, as it will react chemically with diesel, reducing the quality, cleanliness, and combustion efficiency of diesel.
